Ngaati Toa, Ngaai Tuuhoe, Ngaati Awa – Te Kuuhaa Marae
Huriwai is a law graduate of the University of Waikato and was admitted to the bar at the Hamilton High Court in 2014. Huriwai’s areas of interest include Maaori Legal issues, Governance and Disputes Resolution. He is responsible for outstanding claims related to Taamaki Makaurau, Hauraki and mandate processes and is currently studying for his Master of Laws.
Te Whaanau-a-Apanui, Ngaati Manuhuri
Terri has a Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Commerce from Victoria University and was admitted to the bar in 2011. She was involved with the Ngaati Manuhiri treaty claim, providing research and assisting with the draft of their historical account for the eventual signing of the Deed of Settlement in May 2011. Terri provides advice on matters relating to the resolution of the Relativity disputes process and the tribe’s aquaculture settlement.
Ngaati Wairere, Ngaati Apakura, Ngaati Maniapoto – Tauhei Marae
Wayne has a Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waikato. He is an Environmental Commissioner for Waikato-Tainui and is also a Fisheries Kaitiaki for Tauhei Marae. Wayne worked in the concreting construction industry for 15 years and currently provides technical support for the West Coast Harbours (outstanding claims), and monitoring of non-raupatu claims of Waikato-Tainui hapuu.
